Cardiac First Responder

The aim of the Cardiac First Responder course is to equip the candidate with the knowledge, skills and attitude to bring students to a level of competence of CFR for adults, infant and child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use. Additionally, to develop skills for the relief of foreign-body airway obstruction as well as the administration of aspirin for cardiac chest pain.

As the course name suggests it is aimed at anyone in the community. As approximately 14 people die each day from sudden cardiac arrest it is important that people learn these potentially life-saving skills.
